We give people with disabilities the chance to dance and have fun, whilst making new friends.

Opportunity Knocks Dance School has been successfully operating for over 5 years now. Our trained employees really enjoy making a difference in the lives of both children and adults who may not otherwise have the opportunity to experience the benefits of dance.

We are pleased to offer a unique program designed specifically to meet the needs of each individual within a small-group setting. The program utilizes visual aids such as: hula-hoops, pom-poms, ribbons, musical instruments, and so much more. It also can incorporate popular dances such as the Macarena and Hokey Pokey. Wheelchair dancing creates excitement which allows expression of musicality and movement otherwise not experienced. We aim to provide a kinaesthetic experience to each individual within their current capabilities and to further develop these abilities.

Every student should be given the opportunity to perform publicly i.e. debutante ball. Partner dances can be modified for such occasions. Heightened self-confidence and development of social skills are just some of the benefits of such training. At the end of every year, we also facilitate a public performance which gives them a chance to dress-up and exhibit their newly-acquired skills.

There are several options: individuals can come to already established classes, or if you have a small group/s you can arrange a suitable time to come to us; if you have a suitable hall, we can even come to you!
